Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to your information when you use the email alert on this site.

What we collect

Only what you enter in the alert form: your email address, the consoles you want and your country.

Search and email log

To run the site and spot problems, the owner keeps a log of stock searches (the time, country, which consoles were searched and what was found), alerts set up (including the email address given) and emails sent (address, subject and whether it was delivered). The log does not include IP addresses or anything that identifies you from a search alone. The log is kept for 12 months; the record of each stock check is kept for 30 days.

Why

To email you when that console is in stock, and for a reminder about the Alert Pass if you signed in without getting one (one tap unsubscribes). We never sell or share your details.

How long we keep it

An alert keeps running until you cancel it, press ‘I managed to buy it’, or your Alert Pass ends.

Signing in

If you sign in, we email you a 6-digit code and a one-time link (both expire after 15 minutes). Typing the code on the page, or clicking the link, places a single sign-in cookie in that browser, used only to keep you signed in, for up to 30 days or until you sign out. While signed in, we keep a list of your alerts and your last search (consoles, country and filter choices) against your email address, so they appear on any device you sign in on. Signing out removes the cookie from that browser. To have this deleted, use the contact form.

Without signing in, the site remembers your country, last results and alerts only in your own browser.

To see which links and websites bring people here, we give your browser a cookie holding a random number, kept for a year, and record which link you first arrived through against that number. If you later buy an Alert Pass, that link is credited with the sale. The number is not your name or your email address, and it is used for nothing else.

Visitor statistics

To see how many people use the site, we count page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses. Each visit is counted using a one-way code made from your connection and browser details plus the date; it changes every day and can't be turned back into who you are. We also note the country (from the connection), whether it's a phone, tablet or computer, and which website linked to us. Counts are kept for 31 days.

Google Analytics

The site also uses Google Analytics to see how it is used: which pages are opened, which searches and buttons are used, and whether a visit ends in a purchase. It sets its own cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, your device and browser details and the pages you open; Google may process this outside the UK. We never send it your email address or your alert details. You can stop it with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking the script in your browser or an ad blocker.

Who processes it

Alerts are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and emails are sent through Resend. If you buy an Alert Pass, the payment is handled by Stripe; we receive your email address, the amount and the date, never your card details, and keep a record of the purchase for accounting. All of them act only on our instructions (Stripe also acts as an independent controller for its own legal and fraud-prevention duties).

Your choices

You can cancel an alert at any time from the alert panel while signed in. To ask about or delete your data, contact the site owner via the email address alerts are sent from.

If you leave a review, it shows the name you chose, your country, when you joined and whether you have bought an Alert Pass. If you ask for your data to be deleted, your review stays on the Reviews page without your email address, unless you ask for it to be removed too.
